4. Awards & Recognitions

  • Prof. Ajit Pratap Singh, Senior Professor, BITS Pilani, has been nominated as Domain Expert on the State Level Monitoring Committee, Government of Rajasthan, Department of Environment and Climate Change, by the Chairperson of the Committee appointed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. The Committee was reconstituted vide Order No. F.12(48) ENV/2025-01266-Part File (5) dated 07.06.2026, and is chaired by the Chief Secretary, Government of Rajasthan, tasked with planning, monitoring, and executing remediation and restoration measures for the Jojari and Luni River basins, in coordination with the Supreme Court-appointed Committee.
  • Prof. Ajit Pratap Singh, Senior Professor, BITS Pilani, has been nominated as Domain Expert on the Joint Committee, Government of Rajasthan, Department of Environment and Climate Change, reconstituted vide Order No. F.12(48)ENV/2025-01266 dated 25.06.2026 by the Department of Environment & Climate Change. The Committee, chaired by the Additional Chief Secretary, Water Resources Department, is tasked with finalizing and executing a comprehensive remediation and restoration plan for the Jojari River and associated areas, ensuring proper utilization of Environmental Compensation funds, and submitting periodic progress reports to the Hon'ble Supreme Court.
