BITS Hyderabad Library
Welcome to BITS Pilani Hyderabad Library
The BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus library is housed in a state-of-the-art new building (Block G), covering about 45000 sq.ft area. It is fully air-conditioned with 554+ seating capacity and is closely located in the Lecture Theatre Complex (LTC) and classrooms of the Institute.
The Library has a collection of over 48900+ books and subscribes to over 33 print magazines. Users can have access to over 14860+ e-journals, Grammarly tool, 7105+ e-books, and various databases such as IndiaStat, MathSciNet, Sci-Finder, Scopus, etc. No login credentials are required within the campus to access library subscirbed e-resources.
The Library facilities have the primary purpose of supporting BITS’ educational and research programs. Access to and use of the library is a privilege extended to the members of the BITS community of faculty, students, and staff; including members of their immediate families and sponsored affiliates.

Library users and staff will interact with mutual respect and consideration.
Library users will:
- Respect private and Institute property.
- Abide by all Institute and Libraries’ policies, licensing and contractual agreements.
- Comply with all requests made by library staff.
- Show valid identification upon request.
- Use Library resources (content, equipment, or facilities) safely and appropriately.

The library is fully enabled with RFID technology with Self Check-In and Check-Out Kiosk facility. With this technology now one can borrow, return and renew books through a Kiosk at any time during the book issue/return hours.

Guidelines for Fair Use of e-Resources at BITS Pilani-Hyderabad Campus Library: Usage Policy
- Electronic resources such as e-journals, e-databases, and e-books made available by the BITS, Hyderabad campus Library, is for academic use only.
- These resources can be searched, browsed and material may be downloaded. Downloading or printing a complete book or an entire issue or a volume of one or more journals (called systematic downloading) is strictly prohibited.
- Use of robots, spiders or intelligent agents to access, search and/or systematically download from these resources is also prohibited. Any violation of this policy will result in penal action as per the rules and regulations of the Institute.
- Please be aware that systematic downloading will cause the publisher to block the entire community of users at the BITS Hyderabad campus from accessing these resources.
- Make sure that you download the Research papers actually required by you.
- Please don’t download Research papers that you might require in the future.
- The access to the required e-resources will continue. So, please don’t download irrelevant Research papers.
- The quantity of allowed downloading varies from publisher to publisher. Contact Library staff to seek clarification if any.
- Beware: our campus IT server has a surveillance mechanism in place. Any violation of e-access guidelines can be identified immediately.
- CCTV cameras are placed in E-zone / Reading areas for surveillance.
- Remember! All the E-resources are subscribed under a license agreement with the publishers. Let’s make sure that we do not violate any agreement.
