Cyber Safety Champions: A Workshop on Developing Responsible Digital Skills in School Children

The Department of Economics and Finance, BITS Pilani-Hyderabad Campus, in collaboration with the PRAGATI Centre and the Government of Telangana, successfully organized a full-day workshop titled: “Cyber Safety Champions: A Workshop on Developing Responsible Digital Skills in School Children.”
Chief Guest, Shri Chinmoy Kumar (Regional Director, RBI Telangana) delivered the inaugural address. Workshop included a series of interactive and informative sessions designed to build responsible digital behaviour.

📌 Session 2: Financial Cybersecurity

Covered online financial safety, common digital scams, phishing, gaming frauds, OTP safety, and secure digital practices.

📌 Session 3: Digital Respect, Cyberbullying & Deepfakes
By Prof. Dipanjan Chakraborty (CSIS) & Prof. N. L. Bhanu Murthy (CSIS)
Discussed digital empathy, emotional impact of cyberbullying, and how to identify and report deepfakes.

📌 Session 4: Protecting Our Digital Selves
By Prof. sravani bharandev
Explored privacy settings, safe sharing, managing digital validation, and a Digital Habit Tracker activity.

📌 Session 5: Exploring Career Paths
By Prof. Bheemeshwar Reddy A
Introduced students to emerging career avenues in digital and technological fields.
