Teaching Excellence Award 2022

The winners of the Teaching Excellence Award (TEA) for the year 2022. The winners are

1. Prof. Ranjan Dey - Department of Chemistry.

In recognition of Prof. Ranjan Dey’s significant contribution to teaching of both disciplinary and multidisciplinary courses, momentous efforts for guiding first degree students in project related courses which resulted in significant scientific publications, providing career guidance to the students, and active participation in the faculty-student council in the Department of Chemistry, K K Birla Goa Campus. The best teacher award, 2022 is presented for his sustained effort in enriching the career and life of his students.

2. Prof. Manoj Kumar Pandey - Department of Mathematics

Prof. Pandey is an excellent teacher and an inspiration to students. In his 14 years of teaching at the Department of Mathematics, BITS Pilani K K Birla Goa Campus, he has consistently had the reputation for being not only the best but also one of the most demanding teachers. His classes are amusing, entertaining, and highly informative, with an impressive mix of challenging mathematics and historical anecdotes, delivered clearly and concisely. Many students discovered the excitement of mathematics in his classes and his personal advice and encouragement continue to guide many of those careers today. We are delighted to honor him with the Teaching Excellence Award for excellent teaching in the department of Mathematics, BITS Pilani K K Birla Goa Campus

3. Dr. Mayank Goel - Department of Mathematics

Dr. Goel is known for his skills in the classroom, having "an uncanny ability” to make the concept clear. The ease with which he genuinely connect to students is remarkable. His dedication to teaching and mentoring first degree students is exemplary. In the 11 years of his illustrious teaching career at BITS-Pilani, he taught with passion and vigour. His influence on students extends far beyond classroom and graduation. Dr. Goel's insights and exemplary teaching have influenced many undergraduate students. For his extraordinary commitment to the understanding of learning and teaching mathematics, it is a great pleasure to award Dr. Goel with the Teaching Excellence Award for his excellent teaching in the department of Mathematics, BITS Pilani K K Birla Goa Campus.

4. Dr. Pravin. S. Mane - Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

To recognize Dr. Mane for the academic rigor in all courses he has handled, for introducing experiential learning components in all courses at the FD and HD level, for popularizing the fields of VLSI design among the student community, for being a selfless, dedicated teacher and a role model for students over the years and his service to the craft of engineering education.
