Vision and Mission

BITS Pilani has received several accolades for empowering its students through excellence in teaching-learning and other academic processes throughout the history of its existence. From almost half a century, it evolved unique practices and started to pay significant attention to keep a high level of quality in the teaching- learning processes.Its structure and culture have made it possible for even average individuals to perform in an excellent manner through continuous improvement and team based approach. All this have helped the institute to build remarkable reputation among the student aspirants as well as employers of its graduates. The modern times have thrown several significant opportunities as well as challenges upon the educators. The institute is seriously working to evolve the best possible solutions for the teaching learning community. To further this goal, the institute has set up Teaching Learning Centres (TLC) at its four campuses at Pilani, Dubai, Goa and Hyderabad in June, 2015 with a vision to maintain and foster a thriving culture for excellence in teaching-learning across its campuses.

TLC at BITS Pilani KK Birla Goa Campus has a vision to be looked upon as a reliable resource by all faculty members to deal with the ever growing challenges of a faculty position at BITS Pilani.

Mission statement of TLC at KK Birla Goa Campus

Our mission to meet the above vision has been put up in the following lines

  • To create a forum for academic discussions about challenges and opportunities in enhancing th e effectiveness of teaching-learning processes by way of organizing seminars and providing scholarly articles
  • To evolve strategies through a meaningful dialogue and research to meet the challenges identified
  • To conduct teaching workshops(9 module workshop and ITW) for new faculty members to align the new entrants to the mission of the institute
  • To conduct 5-module workshops for new TAs (from ME and PhD) to align the new entrants to the mission of the institute
