We are pleased to share an important development with immense pride and responsibility. The Department of Civil Engineering at BITS Pilani has been officially recognized by the Noida Authority as one of the eight government-approved institutions authorized to carry out structural audits of group housing societies in Noida.

This recognition comes under the Structural Audit Policy introduced by the Noida Authority on March 15, 2023, which mandates that builders applying for Occupancy Certificates (OCs) from April 1, 2023, onward must submit structural audit reports from approved institutions. This policy was formulated in response to resident concerns about building safety and aims to ensure the structural integrity of both new and existing housing complexes.

This opportunity is a significant endorsement of the technical expertise and credibility of our faculty and infrastructure in the field of structural engineering. It also opens avenues for impactful real-world engagement for our students and research scholars.
