

Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus successfully conducted a workshop on ‘Science & R&D Strengthened by AI’ under the aegis of Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, of the Ministry of Education, Govt of India. Around 45 participants from eight colleges/ high-schools from different parts of Goa attended the workshop held at BITS Pilani’s Computer Centre Lab.
The workshop was led by Prof. Riju De, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus. Prof. De provided participants with hands-on training on ANACONDA software, equipping them with practical skills to integrate artificial intelligence into scientific research and development.
The program commenced with a warm welcome by Mr. Manojkumar Rajagopalan, Manager – IPR & IIC, BITS Pilani and concluded with an address by Prof. Saroj Sundar Baral, Convener - IIC, acknowledging the enthusiastic participation and collaborative spirit of attendees.
The workshop was meticulously coordinated by Ms. Priyanka Singh and Prof. Rajorshi Sen Gupta, Co-convener IIC, whose efforts ensured smooth execution and impactful learning outcomes.This initiative reflects the Ministry of Education’s vision to foster innovation, empower young minds, and strengthen India’s self-reliance in science and technology through AI-driven R&D.
