BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus, is honoured to welcome the officers of the Indian Army for the first cohort of the Management Development Programme (MDP) on IT, Inventory Management, and Accounting. The inaugural session, held on 11 August, was presided over by Prof. S. K. Barai, Director, BITS Pilani – Pilani Campus; Prof. N. V. M. Rao, Dean Administration; Col. Soumyabrata Chakraborthy, Registrar; and other esteemed dignitaries.  This MDP is coordinated by Prof. Satyendra Sharma, Prof. Srikanta Routroy, Prof. Saurabh Chadha and Prof. Jagat Sesh Challa.

This MDP is being conducted under an MoU between the Army Training Command (ARTRAC) and BITS Pilani to organise nine cohorts of such programmes over the next three years. We extend our sincere gratitude to ARTRAC for entrusting us with this meaningful opportunity to contribute, in our own way, to the service of the nation.

The first cohort brings together 50 Junior Commissioned Officers from various regiments of the Indian Army, representing geographically diverse regions of the country. We are delighted to welcome them and wish them a fruitful, enriching, and memorable learning experience at BITS Pilani.
