79th Independence Day Celebrations at BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus

On the occasion of 15 August 2025, 79th Independence Day was celebrated at BITS Pilani, Pilani campus. The Programme began by recalling the achievements of post-Independent India, which are in perfect alignment with the theme of this year’s Independence Day “Naya Bharat”; to honour the remarkable journey of a confident, secure and thriving India reaffirming a collective commitment towards progress and a brighter future.

 Prof. V Ramgopal Rao, Vice Chancellor, BITS Pilani, Prof. Sudhirkumar Barai, Director BITS Pilani, Pilani campus, Col. Soumyabrata Chakraborty, Registrar, BITS Pilani and Prof. N V Muralidhar Rao, Dean Administration hoisted the National Flag, a moment of pride for all attendees. Chief Security Officer Mr. Kishore Singh and his team also saluted the tricolor. The fervor of patriotism, unified diversity and rich cultural heritage of India, was beautifully brought forth through the songs sung by the students under the guidance of Gurukul. This was followed by administration of The National Pledge by Ms. Jhanvi, an oath to shoulder responsibilities with rights. The programme ended with the National anthem sung with enthusiasm by all. The event was coordinated by Prof Sushila Shekhawat, Faculty In-charge, Institute Functions.
