Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Department of Mathematics at BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus, Goa, for a ANRF sponsored research project titled "Gaussian random field models on network-like domains (ANRF/ECRG/2024/002135/PMS)”.

Broad area of Research : Stochastic Partial Differential Equations

Duration of the project : 3 years

Fellowship Amount (Rs.) : Rs. 37,000 per month + HRA as applicable

Accommodation: Hostel Accommodation will be provided subject to availability and will be governed by the rules and regulations of the institute prevailing at the time of joining of the candidate.

Eligibility: Candidates must have a post-graduate degree in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics/Statistics with a first class or a minimum CGPA of 6.5. The candidates should have a strong academic background with a solid foundation, particularly in Analysis and Differential Equations. Knowledge of mathematical softwares such as MATLAB, R, etc., is desirable. Preference will be given to the NET/GATE-qualified candidates.
