Celebration of Ram Navami on 26th March 2026 at BITS Pilani, Pilani campus

Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani celebrated GD Birla Ji’s birthday on Thursday, 26^th March 2026 on the occasion of Ram Navami by paying floral tribute to Late Shri GD Birla Ji’s statue opposite Saraswati Mandir with great fervor and enthusiasm. The foundation stone of the main building of Institute was laid on the auspicious day of Ram Navami in 1948.

The celebrations started at 9AM with floral tributes at the statue of the Founder Chairman, Late Shri Ghanshyam Das Ji Birla. Prof Sudhirkumar Barai, Director BITS, Pilani, Pilani Campus, Prof. NVM Rao, Dean, Administration, BITS Pilani, Pilani campus, Col. Soumyabrata Chakraborty (Retd) Registrar BITS Pilani, Col. AVSM Maj General S S Nair, Director, Birla Education Trust, Prof Arya Kumar, Dean, Alumni Relations, Prof S B Singh, Dean Infrastructure and Planning, Associate Deans, Professors, faculty members and staff members offered floral tributes. Prof Sushila Shekhawat, Faculty Incharge Institute functions coordinated the event.
