The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus proudly hosted National Startup Day 2026, bringing together around 80 aspiring student innovators from government and private institutions across Goa.  BITS Pilani continues to serve as a beacon for innovation-driven education, empowering students to become future-ready entrepreneurs.

The event served as a dynamic platform to ignite entrepreneurial spirit and showcase emerging startup ideas among the youth.  The celebration featured insightful keynote addresses by distinguished guest speakers — Mr. Abhishek Singh, renowned technocrat and policy leader and Mr. Sanjay Mulwi, Head of Innovation and Incubation CIBA.  Both speakers emphasized the importance of innovation, resilience and collaboration in building sustainable startups that address real-world challenges.  Ms. Sunaya Shirodkar, Director, Asier Technologies provided hands-on training to students on ATL Tinkering lab.

The day-long program included:

• Interactive sessions on startup ecosystems and funding opportunities
• Mentoring clinics led by faculty and industry experts
• Networking opportunities with startup founders and incubator representatives

Speaking on the occasion, the Convener of IIC BITS Pilani, Prof. Saroj Sundar Baral highlighted the Institute’s commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial talent and IIC Co-convener Prof. Rajorshi Sen Gupta highlighted fostering a culture of innovation across Goa.

The event concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony recognizing the participation and potential of young changemakers.
