

As part of the ongoing outreach activities, BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus organized the Open Day on 8-Nov-2025, which was attended by over 1000 students along with their teachers/ professors from around 25 schools and colleges from Goa.
Hon’ble Minister for Panchayati Raj, Transport & Industries, Mr. Mauvin Godinho visit the campus on the occasion of Open Day. Mr. Godinho visited different departments and interacted with the faculty members and students of BITS Pilani as well as the visiting schools and colleges. Director, Prof. Suman Kundu along with Dean Administration, Prof. Meenal Kowshik guided Mr. Godinho to various departments. As a token of appreciation, Mr. Godinho was also presented the special ₹60 commemorative coin to mark the Diamond Jubilee (60th Anniversary) of BITS Pilani issued by the Government of India.
All the departments in the campus, which includes Engineering, Sciences, and Humanities & Social Sciences showcased and presented their research and other achievements through posters, models, demonstrations, installations, prototypes and much more.
The Open Day activities included: Live demos in AI, Machine Learning, and Robotics; Live demos on bio-signal acquisition, prosthetic control, autonomous drones, and energy-efficient robots like Spider-Bot and Project Quadruped; Demonstrations of advance manufacturing systems (3D printer, 5 axis VMC, laser), robots, F1 simulation, flight simulator, rovers etc.; demonstrations of liquid nitrogen, waves, gyroscopes and electromagnetism; Live demos of math in action and engaging interactive displays and puzzles; fundamental concepts of chemistry come to life through interesting interactive experiments; knowing how innovation in chemical engineering powers sustainability, healthcare, and space exploration and much more.
Various student clubs of the Institute which includes SEDS Celestia (astronomy club), Project Einsat (satellite club), Society of Automotive Engineers, Aerodynamics Club, Electronics and Robotics Club, Project Kratos (Mars rovers) and many others, also showcased their innovations and creations.
