The Civil Engineering Association (CEA) of the Department of Civil Engineering, BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus organized two guest lectures related to In-situ Testing Methods in Geotechnical Engineering on November 22, 2025, in online mode. The sessions were attended by undergraduate students from first to fourth year.

The lectures were delivered by Prof. Suman Roy, Department of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology Rourkela, and Prof. Nripojyoti Biswas, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Massachusetts Lowell. Prof. Roy spoke on “Testing of Unsaturated Soils: Advanced Methods and Challenges,” while Prof. Biswas presented a case study on “Use of Moisture-Migrating Geotextiles for Improving Resiliency in Pavement Infrastructure: From Laboratory to Practice.”
