Pilani, February 11, 2025: BITS Pilani, successfully organized the Digital India Talk Show today at the Pilani campus, with participation from BITS Pilani’s Goa, Hyderabad, and Mumbai campuses joining online. The event aimed to enhance awareness about key digital initiatives and their role in academia, governance, and institutional digital transformation.
The talk show commenced with opening remarks by Prof. S. K. Barai, Director Designate, BITS Pilani, setting the stage for an insightful session on India's digital advancements. Following this, the event featured distinguished speakers from Digital India Corporation and the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) who shared valuable insights on various digital initiatives.

- Introduction to Digital India Initiatives– Address by Mr. Gaurav Khare and Ms. Swarna Prava Swain
- Session on DigiLocker, ABC-NAD (APAAR ID), API Setu, Open Forge/Collab with Gov– Led by Ms. Swarna Prava Swain
- Session on UMANG, MyScheme, NCB-MANAS, and Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme– Presented by Ms. Kritvi Paliwal
- Session on Cybersecurity & Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023– Conducted by Mr. Priyanshu Yadav
Prof. S. K. Barai, Director Designate, BITS Pilani, extended his appreciation to the speakers and highlighted the importance of digital transformation in higher education. Prof. NVM Rao, Dean (Administration), and Prof. Sandip Deshmukh, Dean (SWD), emphasized the role of digital governance tools in streamlining academic and administrative processes.
