The BITS ACM student chapter has won the award for India’s best ACM Student Chapter

The BITS ACM student chapter has won the award for India's best ACM Student Chapter for the third consecutive time. Under the supervision of Dr. Avinash Gautam (Faculty In-charge of ACM Chapter of BITS Pilani) and under the chairmanship of Mr. Hardik Malhotra and Mr. Kapil Singhal, the BITS ACM Student Chapter has won the prestigious nationwide competition. Since its inception BITS ACM Student Chapter has been constantly involved in promoting research and development in computing at BITS Pilani. Apart from research, the BITS ACM Student Chapter has also been working steadily towards closing the gender gap in computing. In line with the vision of ACM International, to promote women in computing and research, the BITS ACM Student Chapter has put in efforts to create an ACM-W (Women) arm. The members of the BITS ACM Chapter have been actively participating in Symposiums, Google Summer of Code (GSoC), ACM-ICPC and other ACM India and ACM International activities and competitions.
