Research specialization (Major scientific fields of interest)

• 1. Medicinal Chemistry – Discovery of bioactive lead molecules (isolation, semisynthesis and synthesis) of natural origin (plants, microbes and marine organisms) for the treatment of chronic inflammation, cancer and fungal infections.
  2. Phytochemical analysis through isolation, spectroscopic characterization, marker development and estimations using sophisticated analytical instruments.
  3. Quality control studies and Standardization of herbals using modern analytical tools
  4. Method development for Biochemical analysis of samples of agricultural research
  5. Development of Biomaterials from marine sources for various pharmaceutical applications.
