The Department of Civil Engineering, in association with the Indian Institution of Engineers (IEI) Students’ Chapter, BITS Pilani, proudly hosted its Inaugural Corporate Lecture on “Exploring Career Horizons in Aviation.”

The session was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Devakar Goel, an internationally recognized expert in aviation and human resource management. Currently serving as the Chairman of the Aero Academy of Aviation Science and Management, Dr. Goel has held prestigious roles including Executive Director (HR) at the Airports Authority of India, HR Consultant at ICAO (Montreal), and Human Performance Technologist at IATA (Switzerland).

🧠 Through an engaging and interactive session, Dr. Goel conducted innovative brain games using matchboxes and candles, challenging students to think critically and creatively.

💡 The lecture offered deep insights into the future of global aviation, highlighting career opportunities in drone transportation, VTOL systems, and short-range air taxi services under India’s emerging aviation framework.

Students from Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering actively participated, gaining a broader understanding of innovation, leadership, and multidisciplinary collaboration in this fast-evolving field.
