Dr. Sanchari Thakur, obtained her B.E. in Civil Engineering from BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus, followed by an M.Tech in Geoinformatics from IIT Bombay. She earned her Ph.D. and pursued postdoctoral research at the University of Trento, Italy. Her research focuses on the simulation, performance evaluation, and design of subsurface radar sounders, with applications in terrestrial hydrogeology and planetary exploration. She currently holds the DST INSPIRE Faculty Fellowship (2025), under which she aims to design and develop a prototype satellite-mounted radar sounder for investigating shallow subsurface targets in the
Indian subcontinent.
