During her time at university, Himali was involved in a plethora of activities, alongside her academics. She joined the décor team for events like Jashn and Ethnic Day and participated in promotional events such as GITEX. She firmly believes that participating in such promotional events is crucial to gaining valuable exposure and she treasures the memories made alongside friends who participated along with her. Moreover, she was elected as the president of Chimera, the biotechnology association, where she led prestigious events such as CSI and Symposium.

Following her graduation, Himali embarked on her professional journey at Alliance Global (AGBL), where she joined as an intern before transitioning into the role of a Product Specialist. Over the course of three years, she had the privilege to collaborate with some of the top brands in the market, leveraging her leadership, project management, and interpersonal skills. Navigating the complexities of diverse markets across the globe presented numerous challenges for her as a Product Specialist at AGBL. However, her proactive approach to driving innovation and fostering growth propelled her ascent within the company.

Himali's journey from intern to Product Specialist at AGBL underscored her perseverance and commitment to excellence. Her transition exemplified her ability to spearhead major projects  and marketing initiatives, reflecting her unwavering dedication to personal and professional growth. Grateful for the opportunities provided by BITS Pilani Dubai throughout her career, she gained foundational skills and experiences that have shaped her professional trajectory. These experiences equipped her with the tools necessary to thrive in the dynamic and ever-evolving field of biotechnology.

As Himali looks ahead, she's excited about what the future holds in the world of biotechnology. Her passion for the commercial world of biotech keeps her curious and open to new opportunities. She encourages biotechnology students to explore different career paths within the field, showing them that there's more to biotech than just academics.
