Advertisement for One Research Assistant (RA) position under PDA funded project
Applications are invited for the position of Research Assistant (RA) in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa for a PDA funded research project titled “Right to Safe Water and Sanitation Facilities: A Study of Persons with Disabilities in West Bengal”.
Principal Investigator: Mohan Kumar Bera
Broad area of Research: WASH and Disability
Duration of the project: 6 Months (May extend for another 2-4 months depending on availability of funds).
Fellowship Amount (Rs.): 25,000 per month (consolidated)
Last date of Application: 31st July 2025
Accommodation: Hostel accommodation will be provided subject to availability and will be governed by the rules and regulations of the Institute prevailing at the time of joining of the candidate.
Essential Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in any Social Science discipline (Sociology, Social Work, Anthropology, Human Geography, Economics, Development Studies, Public Administration) with 55% marks. M.Phil in broad Social science discipline will be given more weightage
Desirable Qualification:
(a) Research experience including proficiency in scientific writing, quantitative and qualitative data analysis and fieldwork in rural areas in West Bengal.
(b) Fluency in Bengali.
