More than two decades ago, a group of bright, curious minds walked out of the gates of Vidya Vihar, Pilani, carrying with them dreams, ambitions, and a lifelong connection to BITS Pilani. Since then, the 1995 Batch has gone on to build meaningful personal and professional journeys across the world—each path different, yet all rooted in the values shaped at BITS.
The “5 over 5” initiative reflects our batch’s belief that giving back is not a one-time event, but an ongoing relationship with our alma mater. Through this initiative, the 1995 Batch commits to sustained engagement and support over five years, strengthening the bond between alumni and BITS while creating lasting impact for the BITS community.
Why “5 over 5”?
“5 over 5” represents:
- Raising 5 crores (INR) over 5 years
- Five years of continued participation and contribution
- Collective giving by the 1995 Batch
- A steady, meaningful impact rather than a one-time milestone
This initiative builds on the strong culture of alumni support at BITS and reflects our batch’s desire to stay connected—well beyond reunions.
Focus of Support
- New Sports Complex Facility
- BITS Alumni Fund for Children’s Education (BAFCE)—a fund dedicated to assisting the children of mess workers and BITS employees.
This fund is overseen by our batchmate Yash, and regular updates can be shared with contributors to ensure transparency and trust.
Our Collective Impact
Through consistent participation, the 1995 Batch aims to:
- Enable access to education for deserving children within the BITS ecosystem
- Support the people who form the backbone of campus life
- Contribute to the long-term strength and inclusiveness of BITS Pilani
