Academic and Research Alumni Alliance (ARAA)

Context 

BITS Pilani alumni have excelled in several fields, including in the field of academia and research. There are many alumni working as tenured academics at universities and institutions in India and abroad, while others are working as researchers in government and private institutions, foundations, and thinktanks. It is imperative that we bring such individuals together, nurture the community, and engage with them in a meaningful and productive manner. Faculty and students can benefit immensely from such a collaboration. For this purpose, it is proposed that we establish the Academic and Research Alumni Alliance at BITS Pilani.

THE VISION

THE MISSION

To create a global network of BITSian scholars and researchers that fosters knowledge exchange, mentorship, research collaboration, and institutional partnerships, thereby advancing both the individual and collective impact of BITS Pilani academic community.

Objectives

  • Bring together all the academic and research focused alumni worldwide under the Alliance.
  • Maintain a current and mineable database of members.
  • Organize Networking and connect building activities such as colloquia, symposiums, talks etc.
  • Enable posting of collaborative opportunities amongst members.
  • Apply for joint / collaborative research opportunities from government, private, and multilateral agencies.
  • Create opportunities for immersion and exchanges at BITS Pilani, and at member’s primary institutions.
  • Improve the perception of BITS Pilani amongst the academic and research fraternity.
