Applications are invited from dynamic and internally motivated candidates for ONE position of Research Assistant from September 2026- May 2027 for 9 months on the NFSG project, “Progressive Writer’s Movement and the Politics of Gender in mid-Twentieth Century South Asia” under the supervision of Dr. Tony Sebastian.
Primary Responsibilities: Data Collection, Literature Review, Report writing, Digital Repository Development. Applicant is expected to work independently under the guidance of the PI. The project also involves data collection, which requires travel. The work could lead to the development of a PhD or post-doc proposal.
Essential Qualifications: Well-versed in qualitative research methods in literary and cultural studies, with strong skills in library and archival research, extensive literature review, and critical analysis. Demonstrated willingness to undertake fieldwork and explore innovative approaches to research, dissemination, and scholarly presentation. Experience in academic networking, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement is desirable. Candidates should possess a strong background in, or demonstrable interest in, regional languages and bhasha literatures.
