Call for Postdoctoral Fellow (PDF) Position

Applications are invited from highly motivated and outstanding candidates for the position of Postdoctoral Fellow (PDF) in a Government of Norway funded international collaborative research project, under the supervision of Prof. Mani Sankar Dasgupta, Department of Mechanical Engineering, BITS Pilani.

  • Title of the project: Sustainable Cooling and Heating in India (INDEE3)
  • Duration of the project: 36 months
  • Fellowship amount: Rs. 70,000/- + Rs. 10,000/- per month as research consumables/contingency allowance
  • Eligibility requirements: PhD degree (or thesis submitted) in Mechanical Engineering or allied disciplines, with strong publication record in Refrigeration, Thermal Engineering, Energy Systems, Heat Pumps, Sustainable Cooling Technologies, CFD, Modelling and Simulation, or related fields.
  • Preferred background: Experience in experimental/theoretical investigations, advanced simulation, system modelling, or thermal system design.
  • Research environment: Work in an Indo–Norwegian collaborative ecosystem with academic and industrial partners, contributing to sustainability and climate goals. Opportunities include advanced research, interdisciplinary collaboration, modelling and simulation, experimental investigations, technology development, and international academic interaction.
