From Structure to Surface: Hands-on-Training in Advanced Materials Characterization
Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF), BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus, is organizing a Summer Workshop entitled “From Structure to Surface: Hands-on-Training in Advanced Materials Characterization”, scheduled to be held from 1st to 6th June, 2026 at BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus.
The workshop is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of modern analytical and imaging techniques widely used in materials research and industrial applications. The program will include expert lectures by faculty members of BITS Pilani, invited talks by industry experts, live demonstrations, and intensive hands-on-training sessions on sophisticated instruments such as XRD, FESEM, XPS, Confocal Microscopy, and AAS.
The program is expected to benefit researchers, higher degree students, and industry professionals working in the areas of materials science, microbiology, biotechnology, nanotechnology, chemistry, physics, and allied disciplines.
