About:
Anjitha is a passionate ecologist and naturalist working on sustainable development and climate change mitigation. With a strong academic background in forestry and wildlife science, she specializes in local resource-based livelihood development and coastal stabilization using vegetation.
She holds a bachelor's degree in forestry from Kerala Agricultural University and a master's in wildlife science from the Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun. Her work spans interdisciplinary approaches, integrating technology, science, and community engagement to foster sustainable solutions.
Anjitha has extensive experience working closely with local communities, empowering them through sustainable resource utilization. She has also contributed to an independent research project on “Place-Based Education Initiatives in India”, reflecting her interest in nature education and environmental awareness.
Driven by a vision of community-centric conservation, she strives to develop resilient ecosystems while enhancing local livelihoods. Her work embodies a blend of ecological research, grassroots action, and education, aimed at impactful progress in environmental sustainability.
