About

Asawari Raju Nayak (MA, MSW) is researching the social representations and socio-legal experiences of female rape survivors in Goa. She is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the Government College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, Khandola, Goa, India. Her work explores ways to strengthen trauma care within the medico-legal system. Beyond academia, she is the Executive Editor of Jaag Monthly, a Konkani literary magazine focused on language, culture, and literature in Goa. Her research and writing intersect law, gender, mental health, and the social structures shaping lived experiences of individuals within communities.
