Job Description

(i)      To carry out the detailed literature survey;

(ii)    To characterise the cashew apple pulp biomass’s composition and to identify and investigate various pre-treatment techniques to remove toxic and unwanted substances from the cashew apple and pulp wastes

(iii)  To develop bio fertiliser through solid-state fermentation and biofortification with a consortium of bacteria.

(iv)   To produce bioethanol from the pre-treated pulp wastes

(v)     To investigate the applicability of freshly harvested cashew fruits and the fibres from the pulp in baking cookies and bread.

(vi)   To perform a complete Life Cycle Analysis (Cradle to Grave) of the cashew apple from its harvest to utilization in the production of value-added products.

Essential Qualification

M.E./MTech or equivalent degree in Biotechnology/ Chemical Engineering with

minimum 60% marks
