Project Associate position for a SERB funded project

Applications are invited for the position of a Project Associate-I in the Department of Chemistry at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa for a Science and Research Engineering Board (SERB) sponsored research project titled “TURN-ON” Fluorescent Gold Nanoprobes for the Detection of Circulating Tumor Cells (CTCs).

Principal Investigator: Dr. Uttara Basu

Broad area of Research: Medicinal Chemistry, Nanomedicine, Theranostic agents Duration of the project: 3 years

Fellowship Amount (Rs.): 31000/- + HRA as applicable

Accommodation: Hostel accommodation may be provided subject to availability and will be governed by the rules and regulations of the Institute prevailing at the time of joining of the candidate.

Essential Qualification: First class in Master’s or equivalent degree (Chemistry), and a minimum of 55% marks in Bachelor’s degree.

Desirable Qualification:

• Candidates with a background in Inorganic and/or Organic chemistry and prior experience in synthesis and characterization of small molecules/ nanomaterials

• Qualification in any of the National Eligibility Tests, such as the CSIR–UGC NET (including lectureship) and/or GATE (Candidates not qualified in the above examinations may still be considered for the position).
