Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa, for a Ministry of Education, Government of India sponsored research project titled “On the Anatomy of Collaborative Teaching-Learning Process: A Cultural Tale of Two Nations.” The project is in collaboration with Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore.

 

Principal Investigators: Prof. Basavadatta Mitra (BITS Pilani); Prof. Preman Rajalingam (NTU Singapore)

 

Co-Principal Investigator: Dr. Arfat Ahmad Sofi (BITS Pilani); Prof. Dr. Sreenivasulu Reddy Moguli (NTU Singapore)

 

Broad Area of Research: Humanities and Social Sciences

 

Duration of the Project: Two years

 

Fellowship Amount (Rs.): NA 

 

Accommodation: Hostel accommodation will be provided subject to availability and will be governed by the rules and regulations of the Institute prevailing at the time of joining of the candidate.

 

Qualification: The prospective candidate

  • Should have a Master’s Degree in Education Psychology, Psychology, or Behavioral Sciences.
  • Should have cleared UGC Junior Research Fellowship Examination.
  • Should thoroughly know mixed research methods, thematic analysis and statistical analysis.
  • Experience with Team-based or small group-based education will be desirable.
  • Should have good communication skills (both spoken and written).
  •  

The prospective candidate will have an opportunity to pursue a joint PhD at Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences Pilani, KK Birla Goa Campus, Goa, India and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

 

The selection process will be as described through any one of the following: -

  1. The candidates selected through National Eligibility Tests- CSIR –UGC NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
  2. The Selection process through National examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.
