Ms. Roshni Chhabra a student of BITS Pilani (Chemical Engineering) was declared Winner of IET India Scholarship Award and received scholarship of Rupees one lakh for her final presentation on " Antibacterial Nanoparticles coating on taps and sanitary napkins"

Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) is one of the world’s leading professional societies for the engineering and technology community. The IET is deeply committed to the development of the engineering community and is bringing together engineering talent globally to share knowledge, develop engineers, help industry and academia and to ultimately solve problems in society.The IET India Scholarship programme has been designed to reward and celebrate individual excellence and innovation among undergraduate engineering students, including women engineers.

The selection to this competition is spread across four levels.
The first level filtered applicants on the eligibility criteria. (Extracurricular activities and to see if a student is all rounder)
At the second level, candidates had to write an online test that evaluated them across various parameters including academic performance, extracurricular activities and range of outreach activities.
For the third level of regional rounds, candidates had to come up with engineering solutions to solve problems impacting society. Solutions had to be original, socially acceptable, economically feasible and technologically viable.
Finalists for the national final round were tested not just their technical knowledge and problem solving capability, but also for their potential to be the next generation leaders.
This year 7800 students participated across the country. The chief guest for the ceremony was Mr Deepak Jolly India - ‎Vice-President, Venturing and Emerging Brands (VEB) at Coca-Cola, India and Special Guest, Kumar Anurag Pratap, CSR Leader, Capgemini India.

The award Ceremony was held in ITC My Fortune Hotel, Bangalore.
