ATMOS (The Technical Festival of BPHC) on 25th – 27th October 2012

PHoEnix had a sizeable share in the events of ATMOS, the technical festival of BPHC, having no lesser than four events; making it one of the most prolific associations on campus.
 
Rage of the Titans
Being one the headliner events of the fest, Robo Wars was the most attractive and entertaining  events of the fest with sheets of metal flying around and robots fighting to survive in the arena. The event had more than 10 robots participating to grab the prestigious event.
 
A’MAZE’D
This was the next level of line follower. The students are required to build fully autonomous bots that can solve a line maze. More than 6 teams participated in this event.
 
The Circuit Art
This competition was based on the skill of solving electrical circuits. The first round was a quiz where all the participants were tested on their basic skillset of solving simple electrical circuits. The second round was held in the DECO Lab where students had to solve a real life problem by developing a digital logic for it. More than 100 students participated in the event.
 
Open Micro Challenge
The students were tested on their programming skills. The competition was based on the microcontroller programming. The event was held in the IPC lab with more than 70 students participating in the event.
 
Paper Presentations
Paper Presentations were invited from all students in the fields of electrical, electronics and communications. More than 500 students applied for the preliminary round, out of which only 300 were selected. The further rounds were reviewed by the faculty. 
 
Workshop on Sixth Sense Technology
A workshop on the revolutionary Sixth Sense Technology was conducted by the association with the help of the Students Union. This two day workshop kick started with good response and lots of excitement among the participants, the first day of the workshop took the participants through the basics of using ARDUINO and coding in MATLAB, the dynamics of robots and a lot more.
