The Physics department has 4 teaching labs & 4 research labs.

The 4 teaching labs contain experiments in Mechanics, Oscillations, Waves, Electromagnetism, Optics, Modern Physics, Solid state, Atomic & Molecular Physics, and Nuclear Physics.
The research labs are equipped with the instruments given below. We are constantly endeavoring to enhance the experimental facilities. Many of the equipments have been acquired through funds from Project grants. Others have been funded by BITS itself.
In addition to the facilities listed below, the Physics Department also has access to a XRD machine , a SEM.
All these are central facilities.
We also have access to a IBM cluster (6 processors, 12 nodes, 12 cores). All these are central facilities. Additionally, the department also has a few compute servers for research work. These have either been funded by BITS or have come through project funds.
