The Management group at BITS, Pilani was established in the year 1971. It initially offered the two year Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme but later in 1973, when the institute created an integrated educational structure, MBA evolved into the integrated first degree programme MMS- Master of Management Studies which is a blend of engineering and management.

This programme was successfully offered for a time period of three decades. Based on the industrial demands, the course was restructured as MBA in the year 2006.

It is a two-year Post-Graduate Programme designed as a fulltime residential course for graduates who wish to pursue their careers in management.

The objective of this programme is to bridge the gap in the industry by providing quality management professionals with strong technical skills and an acumen for managing a business, thus meeting the requirements of modern technology based industries. The Management programme in BITS was ranked by Asia week as the Top 30 Best Full-Time MBA. The programme has also been profiled by Business Week Online (the Best B Schools).

Our Management Programme shall provide a grounding in analytical skills and shall seek to create a leadership mindset which will transform problems into opportunities, conceptualise goals to seize those opportunities and learn to make important decisions in a dynamic global environment in the face of inadequate information; It shall produce management professionals who can make a difference in whatever societies they operate by inspiring other people while displaying highest level of integrity and social sensitivity.
