  • Indian Workshop on Applied Deep Learning (IWADL2019), December 15-18, 2019

    Department of CSIS, BITS Pilani (an institute of Eminence) proudly announce Indian Workshop on Applied Deep Learning (IWADL-2019) at BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus, Rajasthan. The workshop targets motivated professional, scholars at undergraduate/master/PhD level and faculty members who want to pursue work in the area of advanced machine learning. Workshop will have intense lectures and hands-on sessions on both basic and advanced topics. The aim is to give exposure to recent advances in the area of deep learning to the participants.
     

  • One day Workshop on Blockchain Technology and Applications, November 10, 2019

    There is great demand in industry and academia, and active research is taking place in Blockchain Technology. Many startups have started since the commercial use of Blockchain in BitCoin. However, many of us are not well versed in this technology. To address this and to build a strong team of Blockchain experts and learners in BITS and outside, the workshop is organized by Department of computer science and information systems. The sessions would cover the fundamental and research aspects in Blockchain Technology. No prerequisite knowledge is required. 
     

  • International conference on Intelligent Human Computer Interaction-IHCI-2016 (12-13 December, 2016)

    The International conference on Intelligent Human Computer Interaction (IHCI) is a forum for the presentation of technological advances and research results at the crossroads of human-computer interaction, artificial intelligence, signal processing and computer vision. It brings together engineers and scientists from around the world. Its proceedings are published by major scientific editors. 
     
    The 8th edition in the series, IHCI 2016, will be jointly held at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and CSIR-Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-CEERI) on 12-13 December, 2016.
     

  • India-HU Workshop for Sensing & Robotics 'HiSENS 2015' (February 12, 2015)

     
    HiSENS 2015 is the first India-HU workshop for Sensing and Robotics will take place at IIT Delhi, India, on February 12, 2015.The workshop will be jointly organized by Hiroshima University (HU), Japan and Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India as a joint workshop to discuss about technical development in rural and disadvantaged areas in India. We are also inviting CEERI Pilani and BITS Pilani to participate in this HiSENS 2015. Participants will present about their research and technologies which are developed by them in their respective Institutes. 
     
     

  • Indo-Chile Workshop on Big Data 2014 (ICWBD) (June 4 to 6, 2014)

    Organized by BITS-Pilani in association with Department of Science & Technology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India and National Commission for Scientific & Technological Research, Ministry of Education, Republic of Chile, "Indo-Chile Workshop on Big Data" (ICWBD 2014) was held from 4th to 6th June 2014 at BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus, Goa, India. The workshop included talks by experts on Big Data from India and Chile, panel discussion on "Harnessing Big Data", opportunity to explore bilateral collaborative projects, and talks on funding opportunities by Government representatives from India & Chile.
     

  • International Workshop on Data Analytics & Applications 2013 (IWDAA) (February 26th - March 1st, 2013)

    Jointly organized by Departments of Computer Science and Information Systems of Pilani and KK Birla Goa campuses, IWDAA attracted more than 50 external participants and 41 BITS students and faculty. Prof. Navneet Goyal, Prof. Sundar Balasubramaniam, Prof. Poonam Goyal and Prof. Bharat M Deshpande were the coordinators of the workshop. The conference provided a forum to the participants to learn about many ongoing trends and research problems in the field of data analytics. Out of the 13 speakers, 6 were academicians, 3 scientists, 2 entrepreneurs and 2 representatives from industry.
     

  • Workshop on Introduction to Graphs and Geometric Algorithms - 22 Jan 2009

    The CSIS Department and TIFR Mumbai jointly organized this workshop entitled - Introduction to Graphs and Geometric Algorithms (WIGGA 20019), at BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus on 22 January 2009.
