Overview

The Computer Science and Information Systems department founded in 2004 with the goal to prepare students for research and teaching careers in universities/industry. Every year we admit around 110 bright students in B.E. (Hons.) Computer Science, 50 in M.Sc. (Tech.) Information Systems and 15 in M.E. Software Systems. Over the last few years, the department has has grown significantly, and is now have 17 faculties.

Faculty

Having a mix of highly qualified and experienced people from both academic and industrial background, the faculty members established a sound foundation in various aspects of teaching and research. Research

Apart from regular teaching, department faculties are highly focus in the research with their Ph.D students. Basically in Goa campus faculties are strongly focus to Data Mining, Wireless Network, Evolutionary Computing, Theory of Computations, Real Time Systems, Information Retrieval, Data Analysis and Application of Cryptography in Security. Workshop

KERNEL

Knowledge Escapade Relay of Never Ending C6 League is a student association of Information Systems group in Goa campus. KERNEL has always been a closely knit group. Its co-operation and way of functioning is held as a benchmark by other associations.

The Association of Computer Science keep in sync with the ever changing technology and the needs of the industry, the group is equipped with the latest facilities and state of the art labs.
