About Extended Reality (XR) Laboratory

at BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus

The Extended Reality (XR) Laboratory at BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus is a hands-on facility where students, researchers and faculty work directly with augmented, virtual and mixed reality tools. Inaugurated by Director Prof. Suman Kundu, the space supports simulated environments, 3D visualisation, immersive prototyping and XR content creation, and is open to experimentation from every discipline on campus. Its larger purpose is pedagogical: working with faculty and student teams, the XR Lab is progressively converting course modules into immersive, interactive formats so that concepts which are hard to picture on a page can be explored, handled and understood in three dimensions.
