The Guests then, along with the Director, CSA President and Waves Convener marked the inauguration of the fest by the auspicious lighting of a lamp in honor of Goddess Saraswati. In order to honor Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel on the occasion of his birthday, a pledge was taken, to instill a sense of national unity amongst the audience.
