  CALL FOR JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW FOR A DST PROJECT

  Date: 30/04/2013

  Applications are invited from suitable candidates for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on the following project sponsored by DST, under the supervision of Prof. N Suresh Kumar Reddy, Department of Mechanical Engineering, BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad campus.

   

  Title of the project: "Novel Minimal Solid Lubricant Mixture Application Method for

                                 Performance Improvement in Turning"

  Duration of the project: Three Years

  Project position and number: JRF, ONE

  Fellowship amount: Rs. 16,000/ month

  Eligibility requirements: B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering & M.Tech in CAD/CAM, Production, Design or a related discipline with at least 60% marks. Experience in FEM techniques (ABAQUS, Deform etc.) is a plus.

  BITS Pilani invites proposal from start-ups for availing seed grant support under the scheme of Technology Development Board (TDB), Department of Science & Technology and Technology Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs (TIDE), Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Government of India.

   

  The maximum quantum of assistance to each start up company is Rs. 25 lacs*.

  A proposal by Dr. Manish Kumar, Faculty, Department of Mathematics has been accepted for organizing a symposium entitled First Symposium on Pure and Applied Mathematics ( 2013 ) as part of the 11th International Conference of Numerical Analysis and pure and Applied Mathematics ( ICNAAM 2013 ) in Greece.
