  • Development of citrate and borohydride routes for the synthesis of Fe based binary and ternary nitrides.
  • Development of a new ternary nitride, FeMoN2.
  • Fabrication of soft magnetic materials with tunable magnetic properties (Fe-N and Fe-Ni-N systems).
  • Fabrication of Hard magnetic materials (Co based ferrites, Fe-Pt and CoCrPt based) for recording media applications.
  • Fabrication of Bio-compatible hydroxyapatite nano-materials and coatings on Si
  • Distinguishing malignant, benign and normal human breast tissues by laser optics.
  • Development of High surface area and porous Mo, W and V based nitride ceramics for the catalytic application.
  • Synthesis of Thiol capped Pt nano-particles.
  • Development of Urea route for synthesis of soft magnetic iron and cobalt nitrides.
  • Synthesis of transition Fe, Ni Co based metal and alloy nano-systems with core-shell structures.
  • Synthesis and characterization of coated semiconductor nano-crystals in colloidal and nano-crystalline form.
  • Development of newer chemical synthesis routes for synthesizing Fe-Pt, CoPt materials with high Coercive Force.
  • Synthesis of Fe and Co based nitrides by metal-ethylene diamine complex study on nanostructure(shape) dependent magnetism.
