Deepa's research primarily aims to design and develop a patient-centric blockchain-based framework to store data and keep a trail of the users’ action to avoid any fabrication and misuse of medical information. She also focusses on conceptual frameworks that are expected to come up with the integration of gamification, anthropomorphism, and Blockchain applications into the transitional healthcare system

Arnav & Siddharth presented a novel system for optimizing feature selection specifically for sadness recognition in Speech Emotion Recognition (SER) at the 12th IEEE Intelligent Systems conference. The system utilizes Genetic Algorithms (GA) to enhance the classification performance by maximizing the F1-score for the sadness emotion across four datasets. By focusing on interpretability and performance, the work aims to improve human-computer interaction systems, enabling machines to better recognize and respond to emotional cues in speech.  Read More...

Akshat's work focusses on Knowledge-based systems developed using Dempster–Shafer theory and prospect theory to enhance decision-making under uncertainty. He conducted a thorough analysis using ten publicly available benchmark datasets, comparing the performance of the proposed system with traditional machine learning models and other decision-making systems in literature.  Read More...

Vibha's work focusses on enhancing diet recommender systems.  It uses a swarm intelligence based approach to generate alternate food recommendations that the user wishes to substitute in their diet, ensuring that their nutritional requirements are met, and their behaviour in selecting food displays an upward trend. Pranavi & Mohan's work intends to improve the performance of facial emotion recognition systems; it does feature subset selection using swarm intelligence based bio-inspired algorithms, and classifies emotions using supervised learning models such as Random forests and k-NN. Kanika and Megha's research focuses on improving how computers recognize human emotions from facial expressions using fuzzy logic. Fuzzy logic helps handle uncertainty and vagueness, making it ideal for this task. The study tests different shapes and numbers of fuzzy sets to see which best predicts emotions like happiness and anger. The outcomes of their work can help engineers design more effective emotion recognition systems, benefiting applications like human-computer interaction and mental health monitoring.  Read More...
