* The presentation titled, "Machine learning-based framework for predicting toxicity of ionic liquids" by S. Danush and Arnab Dutta has received the Best Oral Presentation Award at the 1st International Conference on Novel Materials and Technologies for Energy and Environment Applications (NMTEEA-2022) organized by BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus, February 18-19, 2022.
* The presentation titled, "Value added hydrocarbons from lignin derived bio-oils: Insights from process simulations" by Anant G. Kedia, Pankaj Kumar, and Arnab Dutta has received the Best Oral Presentation Award at the 1st International Conference on Novel Materials and Technologies for Energy and Environment Applications (NMTEEA-2022) organized by BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus, February 18-19, 2022.
* Dr. Nandini Bhandaru for receiving a grant of Rs 50 lacs from DST to work on the project titled “Influence of Wetting Regime on Evaporative Drying of a Sessile Drop on a Topographically Patterned Surface” (2021-2024).
* Prof. Balaji Krishnamurthy for receiving a grant of Rs 35 lacs from DST to work on the project titled “Modeling the effect of changing biofilm thickness on the performance of a microbial fuel cell” (2021-2024).
* Dr. Satyapaul Singh for receiving a grant of Rs 27.3 lacs from DST to work on the project titled “Mechanistic insights of CO2 methanation using core-shell catalysts” (2021-2024).
* Prof. Karthik Chetan V for receiving a grant of Rs 15.5 lacs from ASL, DRDO to work on the project titled “Indigenization of core-shell rubber modified epoxy resin” (2021-2023).
* The presentation titled “Modification of alginate-pectin gel beads with sodium dodecyl sulphate for enhanced removal of copper ion” by Utkarsh Upadhyay and I Sreedhar, has received the Best Oral Presentation Award during 2nd International Conference on Chemical Sciences and Sustainable Technology and Development (ICCSSTD 2021) organized by NIT Surat and Chung Yang University, South Korea during 24th-26th Nov 2021.
* The presentation titled “Design of nano nickel core-shell catalyst for carbon dioxide methanation via conventional routes” by Aayush Belwal and Satyapaul A. Singh, has received the Best Oral Presentation Award during 27th International Conference of International Academy of Physical sciences (CONIAPS XXVII) on Recent Advances in Catalysis Science & Engineering (RACSE) held on October 26-28, 2021 Organized by Department of Chemistry, National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India.
* The poster titled “Oil-Water Separation Using Underwater Superoleophobic Surfaces” by Mayuri Dhole and Nandini Bhandaru, has received the Best Poster Presentation Award at the International Conference on Complex Fluids and Soft Matter (Compflu 2021) organized by IIT Gandhinagar and the Indian Society of Rheology.
* The paper titled “Studies on synthesis of environment-friendly products for paint and coating applications” by Appala Naidu Uttaravalli and Srikanta Dinda, has received the IIChE Awards for the Year 2021 & IIChE NRC Award 3rd Best Paper in “Indian Chemical Engineer” 2020.
* The paper titled “Enhanced Removal of Cu(II) and Ni(II) ions from aqueous solution using novel and cost effective biochar based adsorbent” by Sarthak Gupta, S.Sireesha, U. Upadhyay, I.Sreedhar & K L Anitha, has received the Best Paper Award during International Chemical Engineering Conference 2021 Organized by Department of Chemical Engineering, Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, September 16-19, 2021.
* Prof. Balaji Krishnamurthy for receiving a grant of Rs 32.16 lacs from DBT to work on the project titled “Modeling the performance of DET and MET based enzymatic glucose fuel cells” (2021-2024).
* Dr. Iyman Abrar for receiving Additional Competitive Research grant of Rs 9.5 lacs from BITS Pilani to work on the project titled “Development of alcohol-gasoline-water microemulsion fuels for spark-ignition engines” (2021-2023).
* Dr. Debirupa Mitra for receiving Additional Competitive Research grant of Rs 8 lacs from BITS Pilani to work on the project titled “Multifunctional Antimicrobial Hydrogels for Next-generation Wound Dressings” (2021-2023).
* Dr. Pankaj Kumar: Expert Lecture for Faculty Development Programme (FDP), Harcourt Butler Technical University (formally HBTI) Kanpur, August 9-13, 2021 on “Production of transportation fuels from biomass”.
* Prof. Srikanta Dinda for receiving a grant of Rs 36.4 lacs from DST to work on the project titled “Development of endothermic fuel for supersonic vehicle applications” (2020-2023).
* Dr. Nandini Bhandaru for receiving a DST Inspire Faculty Project grant of Rs 35 lacs to work on the project titled “Development of superomniphobic surfaces for self-cleaning and antimicrobial applications” (2017-2022).
* Prof. A Ramesh Babu for receiving a grant of nearly Rs 25 lacs from ASL, DRDO to work on the project titled “Developmental studies include environmental conditioning of QCE Composite materials” (2020-2021).
* Prof. Balaji Krishna Murthy for receiving a grant of Rs 23.41 lacs from CSIR to work on the project titled “Modeling capacity loss in lithium ion batteries under conditions of cycling” (2019-2022).
* Prof. I Sreedhar for receiving a grant of Rs 18.85 lacs from CSIR to work on the project titled “Waste minimization and carbon capture with coal fly ash doped sorbents-A two edged sword” (2019-2022).
* Dr. Satyapaul A Singh for receiving Additional Competitive Research grant of Rs 10 lacs from BITS Pilani to work on the project titled “Synthesis of Core-Shell Nanoparticles (CSNs) for Photocatalytic Reforming (2019-2021).
* Dr. Nandini Bhandaru for receiving Additional Competitive Research grant of Rs 9.5 lacs from BITS Pilani to work on the project titled “Underwater superoleophobic surfaces for oil/water separation” (2019-2021).
* Prof. I Sreedhar for receiving a grant of Rs 5.04 lacs from HBL Power Systems Ltd to work on the project titled “Development of cost-effective bio-sorbents to remove heavy metals from the effluent (2020-2021).
* Dr. Nandini Bhandaru for receiving an extension on OPERA grant of Rs 4.20 lacs per year from BITS Pilani for two years (2020-2022).
* Dr. Nandini’s article on "Durability of submerged hydrophobic surfaces" published in Soft Matter Journal (RSC) has been featured in the series of "Most Popular articles 2020".
* Prof. I.Sreedhar for getting appointed as an Editorial Board Member of the Scopus Indexed Journal “Fluid Dynamics and Materials Processing (FDMP), Tech. Science Press, USA from 2nd Nov 2020 to 2nd Nov 2022.
* Prof. Vikranth K Surasani for getting appointed as an Academic Editor in the International Journal of Chemical Engineering (Scopus Indexed) Hindawi Publishing, I.F: 1.8 since May 2020.
* Dr. Arnab Dutta appointed as Editorial Board Member of Process and Energy Systems Engineering (Section of Frontiers in Energy Research, Impact Factor: 2.7, SCIE Indexed) as a Review Editor, since March 2021.
