Assistant Professor
Mriganka Biswas (Member, IEEE) received the B.Tech. degree in electrical engineering from West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata, India, in 2012, the M.E. degree in electrical engineering (control systems) from the Birla Institute of Technology at Mesra, Ranchi, India, in 2014, and the Ph.D. degree in power electronics and control systems from the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, IIT Guwahati, Guwahati, India, in 2021.
He was a Post-Graduate (M.E.) Project Fellow with the Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre, DAE, Kolkata, from 2013 to 2014. He was a Post-Doctoral Research Associate with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea. He was a Research Associate at the Institute for Energy Systems, The University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, U.K. His research interests include DC–DC converter topology, diode/switched-capacitor cells, coupled inductors, control of DC–DC power converters, AC–DC converter design and control, electric vehicles (EVs)/HEV, MMC (Modular Multilevel Converter) and offshore wind turbine applications.
Dr. Biswas has been awarded the GATE and Visvesvaraya Fellowship for his master’s and Ph.D. degrees, respectively, by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY), Government of India. He has been awarded the BK21 Fellowship by Korean Research Foundation, Government of the Republic of Korea (South).
