About us

Department of Economics, Humanities and Languages is headed by Dr. C. Hussain Yaganti. There are eight faculty members apart from guest faculty (experts in various fields) who come to teach few electives. Department offers Economics courses: Principles of Economics, Fundamentals of Finance and Accounting, Micro Economics, Macro Economics, Growth and Planning, International Economics, Public Finance, and Econometrics along with few Electives: Issues in Indian Economy& Security Analysis and portfolio Management. The department has its core competency in Econometrics, Financial Economics, Commodity Futures, International trade, and Indian Economy Department offers Language courses: Technical Report Writing, and Technical Communication along with an Elective of Theatre Art and Production. The department has its core competencies in Comparative Literature and English Language Teaching. Department offers Humanities and Management courses like Principles of Management, Dynamics of Social Change, Human Resources Management, Professional Ethics, Public Administration, and Contemporary India and Journalism. The department is actively involved in organizing seminars, workshops and guest lectures on various topics and also into Research and Consultancy.
