DYNAMIC TESTING AND ANALYSIS OF BASE ISOLATION SYSTEM WORKSHOP

BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus and DST SERB, conducting workshop titled: "Dynamic Testing and Analysis of Base Isolation System" on March 15, 2024 at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus, Details are as follows...

Workshop name: Dynamic Testing and Analysis of Base Isolation System
    Date and duration: March 15, 2024, 9AM to 6PM
About Workshop: Base Isolation is an engineering strategy to minimize vibrations and enhance structural resilience during earthquakes by introducing flexible isolators between a building and its foundation. This workshop entails a comprehensive agenda that involves designing an isolator, conducting experimental tests on it, and utilizing the obtained results to model and analyze a reinforced concrete (RC) building. This integrated approach aims to provide participants with hands-on experience in both the theoretical and practical aspects of seismic engineering, offering valuable insights into the design and performance of isolators in real-world scenarios.
Speakers: Prof. Manish Kumar, IIT Bombay and Prof. Mohan SC, BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus.
