Education: Dr. Chittaranjan Hota completed his Ph.D. from BITS, Pilani. His doctoral research focused on Quality of Service (QoS) assurances in IP-Virtual Private Networks. Part of this research was carried out at the Network Research Laboratory at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, under the Indo-Australian joint research program. Prior to his Ph.D., he earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering (B.E.) from Amravati (MS) and a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering (M.E.) from NITTTR (Chandigarh).
Research Interests: His research interests encompass various areas, including Big-data analytics, Cognitive Internet of Things (IoT), Distributed Machine Learning, and Cybersecurity. Current Research: Dr. Hota is currently involved in research related to secure Bio-Cyber-Physical Systems (Bio-CPS) devices under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber Physical Systems, with funding support from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.

He has held various roles, including Associate Dean of Admissions, Professor In-Charge of BITSAT (university wide), Faculty In-Charge (Information Processing Center), Faculty In-Charge (Computer Assisted Housekeeping Unit) and founding Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at BITS, Hyderabad. He has also played a crucial role in designing and commissioning the campus network and other IT services at BITS, Hyderabad.
