The Department has been alert and alive to the changes in the macro- environment, and has been constantly updating the curriculum.

Along with academic activities, the Department believes that co-curricular activities outside the class also contribute constructively in developing the personality of students and in familiarizing them with the corporate world.

Economics and Finance Department keep endeavoring to strengthen its programme of studies on a continuous basis to come out with excellent economics and finance professionals to suit the need of prospective employers.

Keeping in view the emerging developments in the area of Finance and especially integration of financial markets across the globe, greater and greater need would arise for professionals with finance background. In the process of economic development, finance, economics and entrepreneurship as an integrated input, play a most crucial role. It is with this backdrop that Economics and Finance Department proposes to set up a Center/Cell for Analytical Finance.
