Assistant Professor,
Department of Physics

I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Physics, BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus. The research activities in my group belong to the broad umbrella of "Statistical Mechanics" and "Condensed Matter Physics". Under these domains, we focus on understanding various equilibrium and non-equilibrium phenomena near phase transitions, with motivations from biological micro-swimmers and technical applications in nano-devices. For this purpose, we use the "Classical Statistical Mechanics" framework and apply various computational techniques, e.g., GPU and CPU based molecular dynamics simulations, Monte Carlo simulations, etc.
Research Area:
Statistical Mechanics
Soft Condensed Matter
Research Topics:
Phase Separation
Droplet and Bubble Growth
Evaporation
Active Colloids
Critical Phenomena
Confined Fluids and Surface effects
