  • Objectives

    The Student Welfare Division at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus shall always strive to provide the most conducive environment to bring out the best out of every student. It is our endeavor to do anything and everything possible to make the student's stay in the campus the most memorable one. 
    Our division cares for every student and shall always look into their needs that may arise from time to time.
    Other activities of the Division include : 
    •  Collection of fees, Disbursal of Institutes MCN Scholarships, Coordinating for various Fests organized.
    •  Maintenance of Individual students account related to Mess Advance.
    •  Hostel accommodation to students.
    Any maintenance complaints (Electrical, Plumbing and carpentry) in the hostels can be entered in the registers available near the hostel entrance. Complaints regarding internet connection should be made to the Information Processing Centre (Server Room) in B block.

  • Services Offered

    Student Housing :

    • BITS, Pilani - Hyderabad Campus is fully residential.  The campus provides single room accommodation to each student. Each room is provided with modern furniture with internet connectivity. Round the clock security. Floor wise Common rooms facilitates with cable TV, magazines, newspapers, & Table Tennis in ground floor and other recreational facilities like Chess and carom boards. Potable drinking water is available in each floor and telephone is provided in all the hostels. There are two large dining halls well furnished with modern equipment in the kitchen.
    • Fee Collection, Issue of Receipts and Scholarships
    • Issue of Id-Cards, Bonafide Certificates and No Objections.
    • Monitoring the Student Activity Center.
    • Processing of Medical Insurance claims.

  • Medical Insurance

    • Medical Insurance [Policy Sum Insured (maximum limit) Rs. 50,000/- per student] is applicable, only if the student is hospitalized for more than 24 hours and the claim documents have to reach the insurance company within 15 days of the discharge from hospital. 
     The documents required to be submitted, at the time of making the claim, are :
    • Discharge summary from hospital.
    • All prescriptions and receipts for Medicines and Tests

  • Sports & Other Activities

    Students Activity Centre (SAC) :

    • Student Activity Centre (SAC) offers facilities for various indoor games like Caroms, Chess, Table Tennis, Pool Table/ Billiards and Foosball. 
    • Gymnasium with state of the art equipment for boys and girls.
    • A separate hall with wooden flooring is being provided for Yoga and Aerobics training. 
    • Various Clubs like Dance Club  & Music Club (Indian and Western), VFX Club, Photography Club, Dramatics Club, Arts and Deco Club and English Language Activities Society are provided with facilities in the SAC to pursue their activities. 
    • A variety of musical instruments like synthesizers, drums, guitars, etc., are made available for students of the Music Club to encourage them to practice and perform.
    Games and Sports :
    • The institute offers several sports and recreational facilities like Table Tennis, Chess and carom boards in the hostels. 
    • Two Badminton courts with wooden flooring, Two Lawn Tennis courts with synthetic surface, Two Basketball courts with synthetic surface are available with flood light facilities, Throw ball, Volley Ball with TURF surface,3 Cricket TURF pitches for practice and 1 in main ground. 
    • Foot Ball, Cricket Ground with  under development.


  • Student Educational Loans

    ​The students studying in BITS- Pilani, Hyderabad campus can avail Educational loan facility through State Bank of India,Gunrock. State bank of India, Gunrock branch is authorized  by Ministry of HRD​ to provide education loans for the students studying in BITS- Pilani, Hyderabad campus.

  • Frequently Asked Questions

    Information on Frequently Asked Queries Regarding Hostel Allotment & Parents' Accommodation during New Admissions - 2017 at BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad Campus


    Please note the following:


    1. As per Supreme Court Order, it is mandatory for all newly admitted students and their parent/guardian to sign separate affidavit on a non-judiciary stamp paper of Rs. 20.00 (Rupees Twenty Only) each duly signed by Oath Commissioner (A designated person in most of the courts in India. Notary can sign in a place where there is no Oath Commissioner). This signed affidavit is to be submitted at the time of Reporting at Hyderabad campus.     2The First Degree Students reporting for admission on 29th July 2017 at 9:00AM will get a hostel room allotted from 28th July, 2017 9:00AM onwards.


    3. The allotment of rooms is random and computerized. Therefore, there is no provision for choosing a hostel roommate.


    4. There is no provision for prior reservation of hostel rooms for students

    or their parents.


    5. The student may occupy the room immediately after allotment.


    6. In case of a male student, his parents may stay with him for a short duration but not beyond the day of registration.


    7. In case of a female student, female guardian may stay with her in her hostel room but male guardian will have to stay temporarily in boys’ hostel room, subject to availability.



    8. Parents may also stay in a few vacant hostel rooms (allotted to Senior Students) for a short duration but not beyond 30th July, 2017.



    9. Food for students and parents is arranged in the campus MESS on payment basis.


    10.The items of regular use such as room lock, bathing and washing soaps, pillows, mattresses,  stationary, books and other requirements for furnishing the room will be available in the    Super Market (More & from Vendors in the campus), which is located in the Institute             premises.
